Wages Of Fear (1952,1977)
- Drifters on a suicide mission attempt to drive two trucks full of dynamite through a South American jungle
- A truely breath-taking thriller, highly suspenseful, probably more so than Jaws, and most of the Hitchcock films.
- Director Henri-Georges Clouzot won the 1953 Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival for this masterpiece.
- Re-made in 1977 as Sorcerer, with Roy Schieder, directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist). Probably the only remake of a movie where the remake is better than the original. Be sure to see it (Sorcerer), well worth your time!
