01 - INVENTION: Portable Fountain
As a youngster living in McGregor, Texas, our house had a drinking fountain outside on the back patio.
I understood that my mother had it put into the design of the house,
so to keep the six kids from running inside and tracking in dirt every time they needed a drink of water
(go figure, the wisdom of mothers).
Anyway, after becomming an adult, and having lived in several houses, I had thought about having a fountain like that at my house.
So, the need for a portable water fountain was born, one that could be installed on any hose spigot on any house already built.
It would require only the simplest of tools, and only a few minutes to install.
This drawing also shows internally how the foundtain would work
(Not shown is that the upper hand gate is spring loaded, so to automatically shut off water flow when released).
